Submissions Guidelines

*Submissions to Strike 3 Mag: Issue #001 are still open on a rolling basis. 

What are we looking for?

The theme of this issue is Self Care and exploring the ways that we use music to relieve stress and express ourselves. This issue will also explore how taking care of oneself plays a role in our teenage years. We are accepting photographs, illustrations, personal essays, memoirs, and short stories all focused on this theme. However, we also welcome song/album/concert reviews that are not related to the main topic.

How Do I Submit My Piece?

Submit your pieces to by September 1st, 2017. There is a maximum 900 words for written submissions and images must be in high resolution (there are no size limitations). If you are submitting a written piece, please make sure that it is formatted as either a Word document or a shared Google Doc.

Should I Include Any Other Information?

Yes. When you submit, please tell us your name and the title of your piece in the subject line. In the body of your email, please feel free to include a short bio or any social media handles/website links that you are promoting.

Will I Receive Credit?

Of course! Your piece will be published with a byline (your name/alias and gender pronouns), and all rights to your submitted piece are yours!  After publication, all contributors will receive a readable online version of the zine. All proceeds will go to towards the advancement of the project.
